Q-Set Spatial Filter

The Q-Set is suited to homogenize the intensity distribution of laser beams. Often dust and dirt particles on optical elements lead to aberrations. Also the generation of the laser light itself may produce an unwanted intensity profile due to cavity properties. These aberrations can be reduced with the aid of the Q-Set Spatial Filter. Here the laser light is focused by an achromatic lens and transmitted through a pinhole which partial removes the inhomogenities. At the same time the Q-Set can be used to generate a point source. The pinhole with a diameter of 30 µm is mounted into a x-y-Precision Translation Stage with decoupled adjustment axes. The adjustment screws provide a 0.25 mm spindle pitch and a travel of ±1 mm. The lens can be aligned along the z-axis with an accuracy of 1 µm and almost without any play.

The Q-Set is provided as assembly kit.
