Volume dispersion plates (opaque diffuser)
New opaque optical diffuser plates made from Heraeus HIGH PURITY FUSED SILICA OPAQUE OPTICAL DIFFUSER MATERIAL HOD500. These high quality diffuser plates contain uniform micro-bubble scattering centers for enhanced diffusing performances. HOD500 is utilized for several optical and industrial applications and also in space applications.
Applications:
- Photometry
- Diffusing laser beam (e.g. for measuring power)
- Attenuating light beams
- Homogenizing light sources (e.g. LEDs)
- White balance
- Cladding of integrating spheres
- Calibration in spectroscopy
-
- Two standard diameters ex stock. Further custom dimensions and tolerances for higher quantities possible on request
- One mounted version suitable for LINOS Microbench (diameter of mount=25 mm)
- Large applicable wavelength range from UV, VIS, NIR to IR benefiting from fused silica transmission properties (high power applications)
- Specified Gegenbauer Parameters for diffusion simulations (see page 2 datasheet)
- High MECHANICAL, THERMAL and CHEMICAL stability (suitable for calibration purposes in spectroscopy also in harshest environments)
- Lambertian scattering behavior (see datasheet)
- Easy cleaning (no open porosity)
-
- An additional UV resistant treatment can be processed on demand for higher quantities. Please ask for customized UV resistant HOD volume diffuser plates at sales.qioptiq@excelitas.com.
HOD Diffuser plates (22.4 mm and 50 mm diameter) as well as the mounted 22.4 mm version.
